Custom UIKit Controls

Another way to spice up your app is to change the looks of the controls that construct it. So we adapted all the native ones to the look and feel of the rest of the theme. Not only they are themed, but some of them provide greater functionality, for instance the Slider better grip having a larger handle, or the Progress bar indicating the current progress.

Themed lists

Make your app stand out by using a custom design for the most used UI component of every iOS app.

Custom Navigation and Tab bars

The Navigation bar is the one setting the stage for the entire theme, having a nice glow and the color chosen for the template.

No more plain Tab bar, now you have it in line with the whole theme.

This is one of the most awesome templates I’ve seen around, and I can’t believe it’s free!
    Amazing job, Tope!

  7. Ravi says:

It’s insane to give it away for free. At least price it at $5 or something. I want to pay, but not $70.

    #
    • Tope says:

I’m sure it is worth more than $5 to you, Ravi. Think of how much you get for that price, PSD, same code, use in unlimited number of apps, not having to pay $1000 to a designer etc….

      You are welcome!

I like this template a lot! With the latest update, it is looking great, except I don’t like how the toggle button will bounce when turning it off, the circle seems to overshoot and then bounce back slightly.

  16. Amelnychuck says:

This looks really cool! Thank you SO much tope.

P.S. You should have one of those $47 deals for the 4 newest themes (Mapper, Business, BlogPlex, Moments, or Profilic)

I want to buy this, but I need to know: will I be able to use the resources for my MonoTouch app? I’ve coded an app in MonoTouch using MonoDevelop, and created the storyboard in Xcode, so will I be able to skin/theme my buttons and controls with this set?

    #
    • Tope says:

Some of the designs are implemented in the Storyboard so in that sense yo can use the same designs to skin it. However, there are some that are implemented in the objective-c code.

Since you have access to the PSD files and PNG slices, you should be able to skin it using MonoDevelop but you will have to roll it all your self, you won’t have the same advantage that others using vanilla Xcode have.. But if you are guru, I’m sure you will be fine.

you have a 100% money back guarantee anyways, if it doesn’t work for you, you get your money back ASAP.

Any plans to do an iPad version of these controls? I don’t plan to do any iPhone-only apps these days with iPads so popular. I think these nice, bright controls would be great for a kids’ app I’m working on, but it’s for iPhone and iPad.

    Thanks,

    Steve

At the moment,… No. But if enough people ask for it, I may reconsider :-)

      #
  26. Lena says:

Please reconsider :) I would love to see this for iPad. Like whitneyapps I don’t plan on making iPhone-only apps anymore.

An iPad version of this one would be ideal. I’m working on a couple business form type applications and they will be exclusively deployed on iPad. Love your templates!

Where can I provide a color picker?

    #
  29. John says:

Sorry would just like to expand and make myself clearer. How can i change the color/set the theme of the app, like the demo?
    Thanks

    #
    • tope says:

      Hi John,

You can use the techniques in the sample code for that. There is a colour picker at the start of the application.

Also you could do a static version and use the app in this link

      http://www.appdesignvault.com/color-switcher

  30. John says:

    Hi Tope,
Just wanted to let you know i could not find the color picker in the app. Or maybe i’m not looking in the right spot? could you please show me which file and line it is in. Thanks. Sorry for the noob question though!

    #
  31. John says:

Wow! Turned out I was referring to the demo app which i thought was the full app given out for free since it said Free instead of $70! I will be purchasing the template but I think you should maybe make it clearer that it is a different app not the same one, because it says get a demo of this app. Anyways I really like the template and will be purchasing it now :) BTW what are the terms of the money back guarantee?

    #
    • tope says:

Hi John, Thanks for the feedback. The terms are simple, buy the template, if you don’t like or it is of no use to you, just let me know by sending an email and I will refund your purchase. No worries.
