Dynamically Create New Items

This template uses the JTGestureBasedTableView open source component, so you can swipe down or pinch to create new items like in the Clear app. See the video here below.

Unibody Tabbar

You know how the Macbook is made up of one sheet of aluminium? And Apple calls is a “Uni-body” frame? Yeah Cashflow’s tab bar is also “uni-body”. The tab bar blends into the background giving your app a unique look and feel.

Comes in Black as well as Brown

We also included a black leather texture in the template. You do not need to use our colour switcher to get the black texture. We have packaged the XCode project with two sets of folders, “black” and “brown”. Just replace the reference folder in Xcode with the desired colour. Read this to see how to do it.

(If you need other colour scheme, you can use the Color switcher on the brown images)

Detail view with Custom Typography And Images

The detail view on the Cashflow template sports custom typography not normally seen in iOS apps. The detail text is on a paper background with a flip-note effect. Same as the image above the notes.

iPad Retina Support

We also have an iPad screen with a Split View Controller. And the images are in the Retina as well as standard resolutions.

Custom UI Controls

We have got you covered as usual when it comes to custom UI Controls. They are available in a separate screen and you can use whichever ones you wish.

Hidden view

The template also sports a hidden View controller which is popular in apps like Facebook and Path. The hidden view can be used to display a settings View controller suitable for navigating to other parts of your app.

In the screen captures I notice a camera icon. Does this app come with code to initiate the camera function and then pull the images from the camera to the app like in your screen captures?

If it does, I’ll buy this template!

Does that dynamic add, have similar functionality to clearapp where you can pinch the table view list to navigate back to a master list . such that if I am looking at list belonging to a specific category I can pinch the tableview list to return to a master list of categories? If not, can this be done similar to how clearapp does??

Hi, I tried to implement a SwipeToDelete feature to remove rows, either I tried to use the feature from the JTGestureBasedTableView but it is hard to find a zone on the cell to recognize the gestures. Do you have any ideas why this is behaving so strange?

Any help or comment on this would be highly appreciated.

By the way I love the style!

    got SwipeToDelete finally working :-)

Will there be an iPhone5 update for the new bigger screen or can someone tell me how to get properly sized?

      Hi Jacob,

All out templates are iPhone 5 compatible. You should have a Default-568h.png file linked to enable the larger screen. Our sample-project has one. To use the larger simulator you have to switch from the Simulator menu in the Hardware-Device area.

      Happy new year,
      Valentin.

Thanks for such a well-packaged theme and example! You really do a great job of providing enough information to get up-and-running without providing too much and making the integration more daunting. Even the preview images for your videos are chosen to be extremely clear about what the video will show you how to do.

This is my first time integrating, and the only thing I was not finding is the ‘separate screen’ that you mention the custom UI elements being in up above.

I did get some of UI elements to work so far, based on your video “How to Get A Clean and Professional Look and Feel in 12 minutes” which shows how to add code to AppDelegate.m to link the pngs to the controls. So I have the switch element mostly working, except don’t know how to set the handle image. I am also not getting the ON and OFF text to appear over it, as in your example above and the default iOs UISwitch.

Neither of these is critical, but I just wanted to ask if I’m I missing something in the package that gives a sample implementation of the exact screen you show above in the ‘Custom UI Controls’ screenshot? The video that helped me (and the demo package provided with it) implement several controls, but not all of them. Some parts of the others I’ve figured out, but if there’s an example that I’m just not finding, that would be better. Thanks!

      Hi Jason,

Nice to know you are enjoying our template. The screen with the elements is called UIElementsViewController. There are some iOS components that can be customized to the extent that we want, but some needed to be created from the ground up. That includes the switch. So if you take a look in UIElementsViewController.m:50, you will see we have a RCSwitchOnOff that is used. Using a similar implementation you will achieve the same result as in our template.

      Happy coding,
      Valentin.

Thanks for the response Valentin. I did stumble on the PSD doc for that but that’s as far as I got. I’ll check out the UIElementsViewController file. Thanks again!
